...and all I see is Italy looking back at me.

These are some more pictures from the Italy trip. They include Venice, Sorento, and Rome.

Venice.

The sunset at Sorento.

Sorento.

The Vatican in Rome.

Trevi Fountain in Rome.
The story is that the family who lived here before had a child that thought they could reach the fountain from the top corner window. In the end, he/she died and they bricked up the window and painted it to look fake.

The Spanish Steps in Rome. Right down the street is the first McDonalds in Italy.

The Colleseum in Rome.

I look out my window to see Italy before me...

Here are some pictures from Assisi, Florence, and Pompeii.

The ruins of the ancient city of Pompeii.

Florence.

Florence from the top of the dome. There were a lot of stairs to climb.

Assisi.

This is from Florence- a pano from the road to the road across the bridge.

This is a pano of Assisi from my bedroom window.

Out of the County!

So this time last year I was heading out to Italy on a trip with some classmates and my favorite teacher!! The trip was 10 days long, well really only like 8 days since the first and last days consisted of walking around airplane hangers and catching some zzz's over the Atlantic Ocean. Not only did I get a new camera before the trip to take pictures, but I also got to be with my family on the trip as well. Believe me packing wasn't at all the easy either since in Italy during the end of June into July is the hottest season, and mostly al the hotels didn't have air conditioning.
The good thing about the trip besides the site seeing and the culture was that if you needed to lose some weight- there was no better way than walking the streets of a European country for 8 days straight with little amounts of water. Yes, dehydration sets in, but HEY! you're in Italy who cares! No seriously, walking around that much worked off the large amounts of pasta we were fed for dinner. The menu was the same every morning- black coffee, some yogurt (if you wanted to risk it), poor cereal, and rolls. The dinner was the same as well the salad, the "fizz" water, pasta, and more rolls. I'm not dissing on the Italian food here cause I'm fully Italian myself, despite the red hair and freckles (I'm not Irish and I checked many times in my heritage), but having the same meals to begin and end my long days just stunk. Lunch was on us if we wanted to eat anything nice or different for a change. One day I was so hot and wanted something refreshing that I ordered a gelato smoothy and called it a day. Man that was heaven, but back to the trip itself.
We started in Milan, went to Florence, Assisi, Venice, Pompeii, Rome, Verona, and Sorento. All the fun places you can imagine traveling to with two huge buses full of tennagers and parents a few. We were all seperated in to mini groups of about ten. I was so lucky enough to be the Co-Captain for my fav. teacher's wife. I was also lucky enough to be in charge of her child while she managed the captain stuff. Her son and I developed a very close relationship, he would fall asleep on the bus if and only if I feel asleep first, which made it difficult to take a picture of him sleeping since he always woke up before me. Nevertheless, he's a cute kid and very funny, we stuck together like peas in a pod and had a bunch of laughs. He was super cool and awesome to hang out with, thank god he wasn't really young cause then we would have been annoying. Anyways, I love the kid to death and same with his family so its all good. My group was also equally awesome since my friends were in it and had a parent who was hilarious. The trip was awesome and created so many memories for me from the landscapes that I took pictures of to the stupid things that happened. Despite the drama that occured and shall remain unspoken of, everything was a good experience and I got some pretty cool gifts to bring home. Not only did I get to take around a million pictures (I really don't remember, but it was a lot), but I also got to buy some cool gifts to share with my family.
I always wanted to travel out of the country and I always wanted to go to Italy since both sides of my family have Italian blood. Italy is cool beyond many reasons, I mean come on it looks like a BOOT! what other county looks like a boot? NONE EXACTLY! I rest my case. I would definately go back again to check out some of hte things that I missed on account of the trip planning and I would also take back my entire group as well. Here are some pictures and a video from the trip. I hope you enjoy them as much as I still do.

This video is of a kid catching a pigeon with his hat in Venice.
It was so amazing and hilarious since he actually did it.

The pictures will be posted on another blog post since there is enough writing on this one. They will also have little commetns next to them just to let you know where they were taken.

Firstly, Secondly, Thirdly.

Hey everyone!
Firstly, I would like to state that this is not the first time I have actually used a blog before, thanks to my english and calculus teachers I have already had the pleasure of commenting on blogs so I'm no "newbie" with this. Secondly, I'm a teenager and quite tech-savy to begin with so having this project makes my life easier. Blogging isn't even that difficult I don't know why people complain about it all the time. As long as you don't blog about some stupid stuff that no one cares about then life should be simple and people won't complain about your blog. Thirdly, just to keep things spicy I shall be posting some of my artwork and poems on this blog. If you want to read anything that I don't post on this blog feel free to check out my deviant art page at
http://cmg709.deviantart.com/. Lastly, I wasn't sure what to write about for my first post so I hope this wasn't entirely boring. I shall be posting those other things that are more "exciting".
